Author Talk on Thursday, September 20 at 3:30

Come to the Muskingum College Library on Thursday, September 20 at 3:30 p.m. for the first Author Talk of the academic year. The authors of the month are Olga Kurtz and Instructor of Criminal Justice Deborah Vegh.

Mystery has surrounded the details of the execution of Czar Nicholas, Czarina Alexandra and their 5 children in 1918. Akron author of young adult historical fiction, Olga Kurtz uses the story of the fate of the Russian royal family for her innovative, intriguing novel "Crazy Spider: The Story of People Caught in the Web of Revolution."

Criminal Justice Instructor Deborah Vegh is someone who is starting out in academic publishing and starting a career in academia. A newcomer to Muskingum's campus, Ms. Vegh is prepared to relate her personal experience in the writing process to students, faculty and the campus community. She has written papers and reports, assisted with grant writing, and has presented at conferences. Come to the Library and hear Deb Vegh discuss how she found her knack in presenting findings, discussing the topics and exploring potential research studies. You may be surprised to discover that publication can be a scary thought even to a faculty member.

All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you at the Author Talk in the Muskingum College Library on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
