The library is proud to host author Toni Leland as the first in our 2009-2010 Author Talk Series. The talk will be held in the library at 3:30 on Thursday, September 17. Refreshments will be provided.

Toni Leland has been writing for over 20 years. She has published four equestrian novels and two juvenile chapter books. Her short stories have appeared in “Arabella” Romance Magazine, “True Story”, “Bylines Writer's Calendar”, “From the Heart” anthologies, and “Horse Tales for the Soul”, as well as several newsletters for writers’ groups.

Toni writes a biweekly newspaper column on gardening as a spokesman for the Ohio State University Master Gardener program in Muskingum County, Ohio, pens articles for international gardening site, Dave's Garden (davesgarden.com), and writes feature articles for “Grit” magazine (grit.com), “Over the Back Fence” regional magazine, and Romance Writers of America's trade publication, “Romance Writers Report”.

In her day job as an editor, she assists authors with manuscripts and publishing, as well as scripting and producing educational DVDs about caring for Miniature Horses and writing and editing books about this unique height breed.

Toni lives with her husband in southeastern Ohio.
