Requesting Books from OhioLINK Just Got a Little Easier

Muskingum College is now an option in the school drop down list when requesting items in the OhioLINK Catalog. In the past, you had to remember to select OPAL Libraries first before you could select Muskingum Circulation Desk.

The software enhancement that made this improvement possible is also making it easier to see which OhioLINK library owns a specific book or journal. You will now see Muskingum College displayed in the "Holdings for Central Database" box if we own the book or journal instead of OPAL Libraries.

In addition, Pick-Up Anywhere is once again available for you to use. This feature allows you to request an item in the OhioLINK Catalog and have it delivered to any other OhioLINK library for pick-up. To use Pick-Up Anywhere, you simply select a different
Pickup Institution and Pickup Location. For example, if you live in Newark you could choose to have a book sent to the library at the COTC/OSU-Newark campus library. You would do this by selecting Ohio State U as the Pickup Institution and OSU Newark Regional Campus as the Pickup Location on the page where you enter your name and 14 digit bar code number.

Please contact the library at (740) 826-8152 if you have any questions.
