African Ritual Mask Display

Jim Henceroth of Norwich has loaned the library part of his African ritual mask collection for January. They are in the flat display case located near the Circulation Desk. Jim explained the masks are up to 50 years old and were all used in rituals. They are not just ornamental art pieces. Many are from the Ivory Coast. Henceroth was an art therapist in Zanesville and used mask making and painting in his work with patients. His wife, Cynthia, is a Learning Consultant here at Muskingum.

Help Save Library Resources!

Did you know that some of the OhioLINK and library resources you currently use are being eliminated and others may no longer be available in the future?

January 10, 2005 State support of Ohio higher education will decline in the upcoming state capital budget and is unlikely to increase in the next operating budget. Consequently, OhioLINK is facing an anticipated annual shortfall of more than $500,000 to more than $1 million. However, the Ohio General Assembly will be considering future state budgets this winter and spring and your actions to support OhioLINK funding can have an impact on this process. Visit the Support OhioLINK Web site to find out more about the problem and its impact. Use the following web sites to find your state representative and state senator.
