Author Talk on Thursday, March 17 at 3:30 p.m.

Give yourself a treat on St. Patrick's Day and come to the library for our next Author Talk. It is scheduled for March 17 at 3:30p.m., and all are welcome. This talk will feature Kiki DeLancey and Ken Williams, local authors/poets who have written about coal country and Appalachia. Ms DeLancey's book of short stories, Coal Miner's Holiday, has been described by Booklist as "mesmerizing from the outset, tantalizingly exploring the eternal conflict between light and dark, noble and petty, innocent and corrupt…with a simple beauty that also comes deep from within". Ken Williams of Senecaville tells stories of his grandparents' lives and his own when he was a boy. His stories and poems are nostalgic, funny, and informative. He has two books:Way back then, and right now, too! and Grandfather Stories and Verse. The Author Talk takes place in the first floor reading area. Please plan on attending and bring your questions on the writing and publishing process. Refreshments and copies of the authors' books will be available.

The author talk with Dr. Jim Chlovechok scheduled for March 24 has been cancelled.
