New theatre research database

The International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance (IBTD) is an index to journal articles, books, book articles and dissertation abstracts on all aspects of theatre and performance. IBTD is on the same platform as Academic Search Premier, so the search interface should be very familiar. If the full-text is not linked to the citation, click on the "Find It" link to determine availability. This database will be available during 2006 as part of a year long trail evaluation by OhioLINK. Please let Andrew Whitis know if you find IBTD useful.

Folk Art on Display in January

Various examples of folk art are on display in the Library in January. The flat display case near the Circulation Desk contains pieces made by Zanesville artist Ken Tucker. Tucker uses salvaged wood, scraps of cloth, wire, beads, and foil from cigarette packs for his media. He prefers fingernail polish to paint and often uses Elmer's glue to seal his surfaces. The entry foyer display contains wood carvings made by JB Neeland, another artisit from Muskingum County. In addition, a collection of "whimsies in a bottle" created by an unknown artist are on display. Many of the pieces displayed follow religious themes, depicting angels and the Crucifixion. The artwork on display comes from the collection of Jim Henceroth of Norwich. Jim is a retired art therapist. His wife, Cynthia, works as a Learning Consultant for Muskingum's Center for Advancement of Learning.

Library Resources Still at Risk - Support OhioLINK Funding!

Support OhioLINK Funding

Did You Know?
OhioLINK needs broad support for its projected 2007 and 2008 capital appropriation of $8.91 million. You can help by contacting your legislators and expressing your support for OhioLINK funding and the projected appropriation of $8.91 million.

How Does OhioLINK Funding Affect You?
Unless OhioLINK funding increases in the coming years, Ohio students, faculty and staff face losing some of the library resources they depend on for 21st century teaching and learning. In addition, without adequate funding OhioLINK, and its member libraries, will not be able to purchase new, needed content and services or upgrade existing services (unless current services and resources are cancelled).

What Can You Do?
